I traveled to the Falklands in 2013, on a photographic tour led by Craig Jones of craigjoneswildlifephotography.co.uk, who I can highly recommend for this and any other of his tours and workshops. Not only is Craig a wonderful photographer in his own right, he is an excellent tutor and will offer advice and assistance whenever you need it. He is also a dedicated conservationist, working hard using his camera and his skills to raise awareness of nature and the need to protect the wildlife around us both at home and abroad.
As for the islands themselves, they are absolutely brilliant. If you’re a wildlife photographer and you’ve ever thought you’d like to go there, do it. Here’s a few of the pictures:These wildlife images are also for sale as royalty-free stock photographs; if you’re interested in purchasing any of them, click here – Falklands Wildlife – to view the wildlife pictures from the above and others that are available. There are even a few video clips!
